Raw Caramel Sticky Squares

Another guilt-free treat but be careful; they are addictive! Like most of my recipes, you can easily substitute or add other ingredients! Nuts, dried fruit, more or less of something or roll them into balls, you decide! The below recipe is what worked for me. Feel free to comment or ask any questions!

Ingredients:Raw Caramel Sticky Squares

1 Cup of organic raw oats

1 Cup of organic puffed quinoa

1/2 Cup of unsweetened coconut (I used decadent but you could use shredded or flakes)

2 Tablespoons of almond meal

Sprinkle of cinnamon

4 Tablespoons of chia seeds

Wet Sticky Ingredients: (to be combined in food processor)
1/4 Cup of coconut oil
1/3 Cup of raw brazil, almond, cashew butter (or any other nut butter)
4 Dates (pitted)
1/3 Cup of sugar-free maple syrup (you could use agave, coconut nectar or use more coconut oil and no syrup)
1 Tablespoon of natvia (optional, I used it!)

Instructions:

Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl, set aside. Mix wet sticky ingredients in a food processor. Scrap out wet mixture and add wet to dry – combine thoroughly. You shouldn’t have to add anything else but maybe a little bit more syrup to bind mixture.

Glad wrap baking tray and spread mixture evenly, patting down and spreading to each corner of tray with wet hands.

Glad wrap over mixture and place in fridge. This will set quite quickly and can be kept in fridge.

Once mixture has set, remove top glad wrap and cut into squares 5 by 3. I had a little left over so used another baking dish which made an extra 3 squares (Approx. 18 in total).
