Breakfast Smoothie

I really enjoy having a smoothie for breakfast – especially in the summer. I find it really keeps you full well and truely into the mid morning/lunch. My blender sure gets a good workout! Mix up your ingredients; on days I know I’m going to train hard I might have oats to give me energy for longer but days I might not be training I might stick to flaxmeal for a grain or leave it out completely. Smoothies are great for throwing in whatever you like but ensuring you keep a balance of complex carbs, protein, sugar from fruit and good fats.

 

Breakfast SmoothieIngredients:

1 Frozen Banana

1/4 Cup Blueberries

1 Scoop of Vanilla Pea Protein Powder

1-2 Cups of Water (depending on desired consistency)

Handful of Green Spinach

1 Tablespoond of Flaxseed Oil

Sprinkle of Cinnamon

1/2 Tablespoon of Maca

1 Tablespoon of Flaxmeal (you can use any grain, try 1/4 cup of oats)

Handful of Ice

 

Instructions:

Pretty easy – just blend all together!
